Catching a thread regarding the meaning of life, I couldn't help but put in my two cents, which was well received by the original poster.

I thought I answered this a while back ;) ... though I think I can explain it better now than I could then...
The word "meaning" when applied to the word "life" implies purpose.
So maybe you are asking the purpose of life...
I've said that the purpose of life is to "better [yourself] through forming mutually beneficial relationships." This appears to be the purpose of life, because this is how life works.
If you are asking about finding meaning in life... this is a personal thing, and means different things to different people, but essentially it is your goal to find your own personal meaning in life -- what is important and meaningful to you.
Don't let others tell you what you meaning and purpose is -- this is something you have to discover for yourself. Look deep inside, and find it.
Find yourself, and you shall find the meaning.
For some, this is finding God. According to Eastern religions, we are all God trying to find ourselves.
